Sorry for the long absence …

Hi everyone. Our apologies for not keeping the blog current. It’s been hectic here at the RV resort. Tracy and I barely have enough energy to make dinner before calling it a day.

Ok, we will be leaving Port St. Lucie, FL on April 16th. The plan is to actually head south to hit the Keys for two days before heading back to NH …can’t be this close without heading down. Neither Tracy nor Mom have been down there, so it should be fun! We’ll take plenty of pics as we are planning on attending the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square. You can get a peek at: www.sunsetcelebration.org

Now to back-track a little, here are some photos we’ve taken since the last update …

  1. Dearest Jeff and Tracy,
It was a lot of fun, and we’ve had such a good time!
    Love you,
    Mom

  2. THEY DO EXIST!

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like I missed out on all the fun & sun this winter. You all look great. That workamping life looks like the best thing you folks could have done. I truly admire your courage. I always knew you could do it, just wish I could be so brave.

I am really looking forward to your return to the area. You are all missed. I am excited to catch up on your adventure and looking ahead to following your trip next winter.

Diane and I are flying out to Las Vegas & The Grand Canyon from 3/25 to 3/30. We’ll see if we can pick up a story or two to share with you.

Take care and keep on a kampin’.
    Your friends,
    Scott & Diane

  3. Great to have you guys back! The winter here was HORRIBLE! Wish I was able to do what you guys do.

    Luv Ya
    Mary

  4. It’s great to be back Sis! We did enjoy the winter in Florida …lots of hard work, but warm most of the time.
We do love what we do, but it does have its own set of stresses; the biggest one I guess is all the leg-work involved in lining up the winter work in the south. It’s pretty easy to find work for the summer elsewhere because we have the entire country to search if necessary, but everyone who “workamps” is looking for work in the few states that stay warm during the winter. There are a lot of RVers who are happy enough to simply work for their camp site with no extra money being paid to them. That’s nice, but it makes it tougher on those of us who actually have to do it for a living.

We get to see the country while traveling from job to job every six months. How many other people do you know who can say that?

Tracy and I came so close to putting a house on the land that we owned. I am so glad that we didn’t because there is absolutely no doubt that my position at my job at the time would have been eliminated (several have already), and Tracy’s employer closed up shop. We would have most likely lost our home like so many others have!

    We are Blessed!

    Love ya too,
    Jeff and Tracy
